Install a drain system on your home or business
GlennStone offers several drainage solutions in addition to standard gutter systems, including downspout extensions, splash blocks, underground trenching, French drains, landscape grading, and roof run-off systems. Each job is carefully evaluated and a solution-based plan is created for long-term success.
Why invest in drainage beyond gutters and downspouts?
Water flows where it wants unless it is directed otherwise. Downspouts that discharge next to a foundation can create pooling, especially where grading is poor. Over time, hydrostatic pressure can contribute to bowed or cracked basement walls, water intrusion, and mold.
The best strategy is to carry water as far from the foundation as practical. Surface extensions can help, but an underground system is often the better long-term option. Depending on the slope, the outlet may terminate at a grated opening or use a pop-up drain in the lawn.
Underground power, sprinkler systems, sidewalks, and paver areas all affect how a trench should be designed and dug. Every property is different, but the goal is the same: direct runoff safely away.
